President Skroob is the inept and greedy leader of the planet Spaceball in the 1987 Mel Brooks film, Spaceballs.
Skroob, played by Mel Brooks himself, is desperate to steal the atmosphere of the neighboring planet Druidia, as Spaceball's has been squandered. His plans are frequently foiled by his own incompetence and the bumbling of his subordinates, particularly Dark Helmet.
Skroob's character is a parody of corrupt politicians and corporate executives, driven by short-sighted greed and a lack of concern for the consequences of his actions. He represents the absurdity and excess of power.
